There is an easy way to send SMS via Email provided you know the service provider of the mobile number you want to send SMS to. This way you can get alerts on your mobile about new email arrivals by forwarding them through a email-filter ( gmail, yahoo, aim have this facility ) to your mobile-phone’s email address.
Seems complicated?? Read on!
Every Telecom service provider has an email server with accounts to each of his mobile number. So If you are using “Airtel” service in India for suppose then there exists an email server at “airtelap.com”, which corresponds to Andhra Pradesh area. Read the rest of this entry »

Presence of Microsoft fonts in ubuntu may not change your desktop browsing but it certainly improves your web experience. Most of the pages on the Internet are designed with Microsoft PCs in mind so they implicitly make use of those “Microsoft fonts” like Arial, Times new roman, Verdana etc ., So lack of these fonts in your ubuntu box not only affects the face of the text but also the design of the page.
